What is Rewilding?
Rewilding is a conservation approach that focuses on restoring natural ecosystems to their original, wild state, allowing nature to heal and thrive with minimal human intervention.
The goal of rewilding is to bring back biodiversity by reintroducing native plants, creating habitats for wildlife, and even reintroducing certain species to areas where they've been lost. It often involves letting nature take the lead—reducing mowing, planting native species, and encouraging natural processes like pollination, seed dispersal, and soil regeneration.
For individuals, rewilding can mean transforming gardens or outdoor spaces into wilder, more natural environments that support bees, butterflies, birds, and other creatures. It’s about giving nature a helping hand to bounce back and creating vibrant, self-sustaining ecosystems!
