Introduction to Forest Bathing Fri 3rd May 2024
This is a relaxed and fun experience with Lindsey Death from Dorset Forest Bathing. Find out all about Forest Bathing (no water or swimming involved), how it can improve your physical health and well-being, how you can practice it on your own, and most of all enjoy spending a peaceful 2 hours in a beautiful secret woodland and garden. We'll be in a fairly small group but you'll be carrying out guided exercises on your own.
Lindsey will cover information about the history of forest bathing, and the science behind how it benefits us. This sensory experience will give you the opportunity to really slow down, find space, and appreciate what seasonal nature has to offer.
We’ll end with a complementary hot drink in the garden and a chance to reflect, then you are welcome to explore the walled garden at your leisure.
What to bring:
You may wish to bring a blanket to sit on, please dress suitably for the weather conditions and consider we will be in the shade, and walking slowly or often still for long periods so you may require extra layers. This is a calm and sensory experience, please refrain from wearing strong-smelling perfume in order for people to enjoy the scents of nature, however, if you need sun cream or insect repellent please do bring it.
Your ticket includes admission to Careys Secret Garden on the day of the workshop, and free access to the Berlin Wall Exhibit.
We strongly advise you to read through our Terms and Conditions, and Accessibility Guide prior to booking which can be found on the home page.
