Join us on Friday at Careys Migration Festival for an inspiring day exploring the wonders of wildlife movement and conservation. Enjoy expert talks, guided walks, hands-on workshops, and immersive activities. Connect with leading conservationists and discover how you can support their incredible work. Don’t miss this unforgettable experience in our stunning, wildlife-friendly gardens.

All visitors will need a General Admission Ticket, then, add on the extra events you'd like to attend (remember, spaces are limited so to be guaranteed a space please reserve in advance). If you haven't pre-booked general admission you will be charged on arrival.

Love Birds Brunch by the Salt Pig and Wildlife Quiz at 11am

For something a bit different this Valentine's Day! Join us in the Outdoor Kitchen at Careys for a 'Love Birds Brunch' and fact-filled and fun wildlife-themed Quiz! Your ticket includes a seat at the table and a delicious buffet-style vegetarian brunch. Quiz teams are limited to 6 people per team. Tickets are in addition to General Admission. (If it's too wet/windy, we'll move to the barn)

The BTO's Mike Toms brings together the latest science on our summer migrants, alongside work on the cultural importance of these birds, to tell the story of bird migration and the work being done to address the declines evident in many of their populations. In this one-hour workshop led by our Garden Designer, Dan Smith, you'll explore techniques to invite a variety of wildlife, from pollinators like butterflies and bees to birds and beneficial insects into your gardens. With hands-on learning and practical tips to transform your garden into a thriving haven for biodiversity. Limited spaces, please book in advance.

FREE Talk: Rewilding our Skies with Tim Mackrill at 2pm

In this talk, Dr Tim Mackrill will give a fascinating insight into this work rewilding birds of prey, with specific insights into the reintroduction projects of White-tailed Eagles and Ospreys on the South Coast. Following the talk, there will be a chance to chat to Tim and purchase his books.

FREE Talk: Bird Migration with Kate Fox at 3pm

Kate will introduce you to the wonder of bird migration; what, when, how and why they do it! She will also give an overview of the important monitoring work done by volunteers and professionals to understand these movements. Drawing on her experience at Bird Observatories, Kate will give an insight into the monitoring, engagement and conservation work they do. Limited spaces, please pre-book.
