Bat Night Trail Weds 17th July 2024

  • Careys Secret Garden

We are delighted to welcome local bat enthusiast and researcher Nick Tomlinson back to Careys for another fascinating Bat Talk and Walk.

Would you like the opportunity to hear and see bats in their natural environment? This exciting night trail gives you the chance to find out more about these remarkable mammals. You'll get a chance to use a bat detector and find out more about their roosting habits, their habitat types and their conservation status.

Discover an exciting nocturnal world and explore both the ecological and economical impacts of bats.

The event will begin with a presentation at 8.30pm - 9.30pm. The garden will be open for check-in and refreshments from 8pm.

We will then take a walk around the garden and wider estate to hopefully see, and hear, various bat species. The walk will finish in the car park at 10.30pm.

What to bring:
This event is suitable for ages 12yrs+. We will be walking on uneven- ground in the dark, so please bring a head torch or hand torch and wear suitable footwear.

We recommend reading through our Terms and Conditions, and Accessibility Guide before booking any of our courses and workshops.
